ROYALE Holiday Card

ROYALE Presents “THE BELL RINGER” “in efforts to raise $10,000 for The American Red Cross benefiting those on the east coast affected by Hurricane Sandy.”  The character design is AWESOME, I love the style they used.  I assume this will be considered their holiday card, check it out below.

BRICKYARD owner shares VFX tips at RULE camera Pub Night

I had the chance to sneak out for a few hours and see Dave Waller (Owner / VFX Artist of BRICKYARD VFX Boston) and Jimi Simmons (BRICKYARD VFX Artist) share some useful tips!  After a few beers and pizza we took a seat and watched as they showed samples of their work and how they achieved it.

Topics they cover are: Prepro, green screen, tracking markers, budget, the importance of backplates and much more.  Check it out below.

New animated student short, THE WILLIES: Wanted Melody!

Student short submitted by 3 Supinfocom students, titling this one “The Willies: Wanted Melody”.

Putting the obvious aside, everything in this short was done extremely well from lighting and texturing to the attention to detail in the animation.  Whether you are in games, film, motion graphics etc, the techniques are very well executed.  And of course…hilarious.  Lets here what you think.
